Saint Vincent Seminary invites you to Mass for the Feast of Blessed Karl in Saint Gregory the Great Seminary Chapel (to the right of the Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica). Veneration of a 1st Class Relic of Blessed Karl will follow Mass. Saint Vincent Seminary is the fourth oldest Roman Catholic Seminary in the United States. Boniface Wimmer (1809-1887), a Benedictine monk from Bavaria, founded Saint Vincent Archabbey, College, and Seminary in 1846. Since then, nearly 3000 men have been ordained to the priesthood, and among its distinguished alumni are 30 bishops, archbishops, and cardinals.
